I got started into alternative health when I started regularly getting the colds and flus, and have not had to go to a doctor for related issues since. Your case may be different depending on lifestyle and stage of life - each to their own to study :)

Cancer and illnesses: If your body is more alkaline than acidic and you drink at least 1.5 ~ 2 litres a day of clean water, you should have reasonably good health. Watermelon is one of the most alkaline foods going. An acidic system is like oxygen on a glowing log and cancer breeds in an acidic system - stay away from soft drinks, especially cola drinks and diet drinks. If you or anyone you know is suffering cancer, go a highly alkaline diet and keep watch with your doctor.
Horse vitamins. Good health on a cheaper than chips budget, and how will you be able to access vitamins when they ban them anyways?
Hydrogen Peroxide (food grade). Two parts hydrogen, two parts oxygen. Consume it and it loses its extra oxygen molecule into your body to fend off most disease organisms. Helps shear excess weight off. Put it down your ear canals or drink some of the food grade stuff!
Nutrition products - take them with a small amount of water before you go to bed for maximum absorption. Raw foods and some physical activity helps too.
Pulsed Energy Tech - I've experienced this machine first hand! Super Silver. After hearing success reports on using super silver from our group, I added this one in. Helps with the immune system (cold / flu, chronic fatigue syndrome).
Water - works a treat. Research, and drink plenty of bottled water. Tap water contains fluoride, chlorine, and a heap of other rubbish harmful to your health. Fluoride is the worst. Bottled water is better than nothing.
Zeolite rock is an excellent form of detox program to help counteract genetically modified foods! I have personally tried Zeolite rock crushed and mixed with water. Not the most pleasant taste, but it seems to work.
